As we enter a new-year 2011, I want to wish everyone a healthy and prosprous new-year ahead. my family and I had a very unhealthy and sad 2010, I am praying for a better 2011.

The Richness Of Life

The Richness Of Life Lies In The Memories We Have Forgotten
This is a part of my life, my youth my adult life, I call this Memories, My childhood when life was simple and Good.

In the midst of a wee country village, my thoughts take me backward in time
By the side of a quaint family homestead, Where the Lilac and Ivy entwine.

Down the road we will wander, On the path to the old brook
Where the flowers and leaves strut their finest
Come with me and we'll take a look.

There's Mom and Dad there to greet us, aunt and uncle to all it would seem
In the yard there are three little playmates, Known as Julie, Luke and Lillian

But the scene is a church picnic, Tables laden well with each dish
A canteen with all kinds of goodies, Pay a cent, pull a string, " Go fish "

Up the road lies the school house, where the three R's are taught with drill.
Here the pot belly stove warmed our winters, After slides from a steep hill.

And just up the road lies the church yard, Where each sunday found all that school
Held rally day services in autumn.
As by the organ Teacher perched on the stool.

Now all generations ensuing, we might well pluck a page from their book
With God's grace they found Peace and contentment
Right here in their own little book.

WHEN I WHINE.

Today, upon a bus, I saw a girl with golden hair, I looked at her and sighed and wished i was as fair,
When suddenly she rose to leave, I saw her hobble down the isle.
She had one leg and used a crutch, But as she passed, she passed a smile.
Oh, God, forgive me when i whine... I have two legs, the world is mine

I Stopped to buy some candy, The lad who sold it had such charm.
I talked with him a while, He seemed so very glad
If i were late, it'd do no harm. And as i left, he said to me,
"I thank you, you've been so kind. It's nice to talk with folks like you.
You see he said "I'm Blind".... Oh, God, forgive me when i whine, I have two Eyes, the world is Mine

Later while walking down the street, I saw a child with eyes of blue
He stood and watched the others play, He did not know what to do.
I stopped a moment and then i said, "Why don't you join the others, dear?"
He looked ahead without a word, And then i knew, he couldn't hear.
Oh, God, forgive me when i whine....I have 2 ears, the world is mine.

With feet to take me where i'd go.
With eyes to see the sunset glow.
With ears to hear what i would know
Oh, God, Forgive me when i whine.
I've been blessed indeed, The world is mine.

We Have so much to be thankful for.
